Energy and energy services are our business. In Switzerland we operate hydraulic and thermal power stations, and are committed to expanding the use of new renewable energies. Additional power stations are at the planning or construction stage, for example the Nant de Drance pump storage power station in the canton of Valais. Alpiq transports electricity reliably to customers. As the largest grid owner, we own more than one third of Switzerland's electricity grids. Via our "electricity highways" we deliver peak load energy from storage power stations and base load energy to our customers.
