Grid Projects
The grid is the means by which electricity is transported to the consumer from the power station in which it is generated. Without power lines, therefore, there would be as little electricity in the power socket as there would be for public transport! The maintenance and further development of an efficient grid therefore plays a direct role in ensuring security of supply: a challenge in the public interest to which Alpiq is fully committed!
In the interests of energy security, it is now essential to connect the 380-kV grid in the Valais and French-speaking Switzerland to the Swiss national grid.
