Portfolio Management

Collaboration with us is divided into two phases. During the preparatory phase the project focus is on mutual transfer of knowledge, and on the analysis and formulation of a strategy and concept. This is then used as a sound basis for building up your structured energy deliveries. You can then decide whether you want to continue working with us on operational portfolio management.

Portfolio analysis:

• Recording projected sales contracts and date (volume, price, term, volume flexibility)
• Recording the available power plant portfolio (capacity profile, deployment plan, costs)
• Identification of potential for optimising the benefits of any existing flexibility in volumes
• Basics of portfolio management

Portfolio strategy and concept:

• Joint formulation of portfolio strategy, taking into account your risk profile, risk capability and political boundary conditions
• Preparation of data on all relevant processes, risk and portfolio parameters
• Hedging strategy for open positions
• Support in drawing up forecasts
• Definition of processes including responsibilities, authorities and competences and appointment of decision-makers for portfolio management
• Definition of the Risk Management Committee consisting of representatives of your company and Alpiq
• Joint development of a risk manual

• Setup and modelling of purchase and sales contracts in the portfolio management system
