Klingnau run-of-river power station
Situated at the junction of the Rivers Aare and Rhine, the power station with its 3 Kaplan turbines is the furthest downstream generation site on the River Aare. Its construction created jobs during the slump of the 1930s. The reservoir and environs are now part of a nature reserve of national importance.
